Diana Shipping Inc. has announced a new time charter agreement for one of its Capesize vessels with Norden. The charter is set at a daily rate of USD 25,500, less a standard 5% commission. The contract will begin on November 29, 2025, and continue until at least March 1, 2027, with the option to extend through April 30, 2027.
The vessel involved in the charter has a carrying capacity of approximately 179,000 deadweight tons and was built in 2015. Based on the minimum charter period, Diana Shipping expects to generate gross revenue of around USD 11.48 million from this agreement.
Following this development, the company’s operating fleet remains robust, consisting of 36 dry bulk carriers with a combined capacity of roughly 4.1 million deadweight tons, excluding vessels under construction or pending delivery.
