Aframax tanker adrift in Indian ocean, with no tugs and AIS remains off, reports Maritime Bulletin.
What happened?
Aframax tanker ANASTASIA I reported disabled and adrift after power failure between Nicobar islands and Banda Aceh Sumatra on Nov 20, ship’s AIS on since 0400 UTC Nov 22.
Tanker is adrift with no tugs in sight, and no information on what happened. Information about crew if any still remains unknown. Indian CG ship is nearby, dead in water.

When we look at the total power failure, one may suspect it is something related to bunker. They must have taken bunker from Singapore on westbound passage. Pray for the crew to recover power soon and resume voyage.
