A sudden failure causes the cargo ship to drift dangerously close to the shore as reported by Maritime Bulletin.

What happened?

In the afternoon of October 30, the general cargo ship encountered engine failure while traversing the Bosphorus in a southerly direction, in front of Vanikoy, en route from Ukraine to Turkey.

The ship began to drift and was reportedly stopped when it got too near to the beach.

Cautious Settlement

Later, the ship finished its journey and anchored at Ahirkapi anchorage.

However, it is unclear whether it was tow or self-propelled.
