Disabled Cargo Ship Towed to Thyborøn

On February 13, a disabled cargo vessel was towed to safety with the assistance of tow tugs.

What happened?

The cargo vessel ‘Maureen S’ was reportedly towed into the port of Thyborøn after it was disabled. On February 10, the vessel had suffered engine damage and was anchored 12 miles west of Thyborøn.

The disabled cargo vessel was assisted to safety by two tugboats ‘Esvagt Gamma’ and ‘Thor’ from Hanstholm.

The disabled cargo vessel was further assisted by the lifeboat ‘Martha Lerche’ to perform mooring manoeuvre.
