Disney Cruise Line has revealed a host of exciting details about the upcoming cruise ship Disney Destiny, themed heavily around “Heroes and Villains,” reports Marine Insight.
Hero and Villain-Themed Vessel
The Disney Destiny is a hero and villain-themed vessel that will feature experiences based on iconic Marvel characters such as Iron Man, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange. The ship is set to begin sailing in December 2025.
One of the standout features of the Disney Destiny is its Grand Hall, which boasts a Black Panther-themed area. This space will include a statue of T’Challa and a fixture inspired by Vibranium, immersing guests in the world of Wakanda.
The Sanctum will be the Cruise Line’s first lounge which will be themed per the movie Doctor Strange.
Also, for the first time in the cruise line’s history, a Marvel hero, Spider-Man and Spider Bots will become the signature stern character.
Penthouse Suite and Marvel Superhero Academy
The new ship will be heaven for character fans as it also has a penthouse suite themed on Tony Stark and features Worlds of Marvel Dining Experience and Marvel Superhero Academy for teens and children.
Disney has also revealed the ship’s bars, each with a distinct theme inspired by Cruella de Vil, the Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Additionally, new dining experiences inspired by Edna A La Mode and The Lion King have been tested, offering guests a variety of unique and immersive options.
Sharon Siskie, Senior Vice President of Disney Cruise Line, stated that Disney Destiny is about celebrating the bold, courageous characters from our favorite movies and shows. She emphasized that heroes are defined by their villains, hence the ship’s theme of Heroes and Villains.
Siskie added that the cruise line aims to ensure guests have the most fun onboard this new Disney ship, which pays tribute to the heroes, villains, anti-heroes, and mischief-makers who have captivated the hearts of Disney movie and theme park visitors for years.
