DOF has won a new, four-year firm contract for its platform supply vessel (PSV) Skandi Gamma from UK independent energy company Ithaca Energy. The vessel will be supplying production and drilling facilities for Ithaca from 1 May 2023 under the new contract, in direct continuation of its current contract, reports Riviera.

About the contract

“The present contract had two 1-years remaining options that we have agreed to replace with a new long-term contract,” said DOF group chief executive Mons Aase.

“This is proof of the strong relationship we have with Ithaca Energy and the good performance of the vessel.”

Ithaca Energy operates fixed and floating production facilities on these fields: Captain, Alba, Stella, Erskine and operates subsea infrastructure on the Alder, Cook, Harrier and Vorlich fields and is planning to develop the Cambo deepwater field in the UK sector.

GEOS has won two contracts with unnamed charterers for its multipurpose support vessel (MPSV) Energy Duchess, which was upgraded with a walk-to-work Z-bridge.

The MPSV will be used for various decommissioning projects in the UK sector of the North Sea for at least two weeks after it is mobilised from Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The bridge system on Energy Duchess is set up to reach landing heights of 20 m for people and cargo transfer.

After this work, Energy Duchess will head to the Norwegian Continental Shelf to start a mid-term contract with a firm period of 50 days, plus options covering employment until mid July 2023.

With these two contracts, Energy Duchess has secured 100% utilisation for rest of Q1 2023 and throughout most of Q2 2023 at attractive levels, said GEOS.

The MPSV was built in 2019 by Ulstein to a PX121 H design.

The company’s other two MPSVs, Energy Swan and Energy Empress, remain on term contracts, with Energy Swan currently set to become available in May.
