New Vessel to Join Fleet in 2027
The 22,500 dwt vessel is scheduled to join the company’s fleet in mid-2027. This addition will mark the fifth sister ship, accompanying Prospero, Pacifico, and two other vessels currently under construction.
In June of the previous year, the Swedish shipowner placed an order for two dual-fuel 22,500 dwt oil and chemical tankers at Wuhu Shipyard.
It will be 167 meters long, with a beam of 26.5 meters and a draft of 9.4 meters. Cargo tanks will be coated to safely load a wide range of cargoes including bioproducts, biofuels, animal fats, and other upcoming commodities in the industry.
Environmental Vision
“This new vessel is a continued step in our vision to achieve the best possible outcome for our customers, with the least possible impact on the environment,” Donsötank noted.
The company’s vessels Prospero and Pacifico were ordered back in 2018. The plugin hybrid electrical tankers duo was delivered in 2021.
