Kongsberg Digital announced that Dorian LPG Ltd. has contracted to install Vessel Insight to its entire fleet of 22 LPG carriers, says an article published in marine insight.
Purpose on installation of Vessel Insight
The purpose behind installation of Vessel Insight by Dorian is to collect critical data from its entire VLGC fleet and to view signals coming from the fleet’s assets and enable realization of data-driven operations.
Data-driven approach to reduce carbon emission
Dorian plans to monitor consumption and emissions data, which will require vessels to combine technical and operational approaches in order to reduce their carbon emissions.
