DP World announced that it is unifying its Marine Services businesses under a single global identity, marking a major step in its evolution into a fully integrated logistics provider.
A Unified Brand Structure
According to the announcement, three long-standing brands will now operate under new names:
-
Shipping Solutions (formerly Unifeeder)
-
Multimodal Solutions (formerly P&O Ferrymasters)
-
Maritime Solutions (formerly P&O Maritime Logistics)
This transition will unfold over the coming months across digital platforms, physical assets and customer interactions. Although the branding will change, the organisation emphasised that leadership teams, operational capability and infrastructure will remain the same.
A Strategic Shift in DP World’s Growth Path
The change reflects DP World’s broader transformation from a port operator into a fully integrated global logistics group. Each business contributes a core service to global trade flows. Now, under one unified brand, these services will connect seamlessly.
Shipping Solutions operates more than 150 vessels and serves over 200 ports with more than 16,000 port calls each year.
Meanwhile, Multimodal Solutions manages over 100 rail modalities across Europe and the UK, supports 14 inland terminals and provides specialised logistics services across road, rail and sea.
In parallel, Maritime Solutions oversees a fleet of more than 400 vessels, including 17 specialised project carriers, and continues to deliver pilotage and towage services worldwide.
Enhanced Integration for Global Supply Chains
With these businesses aligned under one brand, DP World aims to provide consistent multimodal connectivity across continents. As the company explained, customers will gain access to simplified, sustainable and efficient logistics options through a single global identity.
The announcement also highlighted the importance of this move for future growth. As supply chains become more complex, DP World believes the unified brand will allow it to respond to evolving customer needs with greater consistency and operational strength.
Leadership Insights on the Transformation
During the announcement, DP World emphasised that the unified identity supports its long-term ambition to “make trade flow.” The company noted that customers will now interact with one integrated brand that represents DP World’s full capability.
A New Phase in DP World’s Global Integration
This alignment follows earlier brand consolidation across DP World’s ports, terminals, economic zones and logistics businesses. With Marine Services now adopting the DP World identity, the company moves closer to a fully unified global presence.
