1.5 kilo of heroin found in a container ship approaching Mauritius.
A cargo vessel en route from Toamasina via La Réunion was travelling several miles off Mauritius.
On 31st August, Police on a possible drugs contraband tip boarded the vessel and launched a search. They held 1.5 kilo of heroin.
On September 1st, when the ship was docked in Port Louis, the master of the ship was arrested and the 26 crew members were interrogated.
Name of the vessel wasn’t revealed, most probably it’s MSC GRACE.
