IC Shipbrokers herewith welcomes you to today’s freight market report

We are giving you an insight in today’s freight market and an update with the latest freight market indications.

The market today had a little slowing activity level for the drybulk market, but with stable outcome except quite falls for the capesizes.

As said, the capesizes had today much less activity which resulted in quite some falls in Far East and Pacific areas, otherwise only minor falling rates in all other areas and directions. For the panamax size the activity was unchanged compared to yesterday, and therefore with generally stable and almost unchanged rates in all areas and directions.

Supramax and handysize dry cargo tonnage

For the supramax and handysize dry cargo tonnage the market today had unchanged fine activity levels. The supramax tonnage had today further minor increasing rate or stable levels in almost all areas and directions. For the handysize vessels the market was again with fully balanced activity, and therefore again with unchanged rates in all areas and directions.

The European coaster market was today again with quite slow activity. In the Baltic Sea area or on the Continent the freight rates were today unchanged or in some cases with minor falls. The freight rates in the Black Sea area were with further slight increasing rates today and the Mediterranean had a further day with mainly unchanged stable rates or in some cases with minor increases.

The tanker market was today having a fair level of activity. The crude oil tankers were again little more active and this was resulting in further slight increasing rates in most areas and directions. The product tanker market was today with little less activity, so this resulted in further minor falling rate levels from the various loading areas.
