DSIC Held The Keel-Laying Ceremony For Largest FPSO Project

Dalian Shipbuilding Industry held the keel-laying ceremony for the BACALHAU FPSO hull & LQ project (FPSO-8), marking the ship’s official docking, says an article published in Xinde Marine News.

BACALHAU FPSO is DSIC’s seventh FPS0. It is DSIC’s first partnership with the world’s leading FPSO contractor MODEC and the world-renowned oil company Equinor.

About FPSO

FPSO-8 is 339.50 m in length, 64 m in width, 33 m in depth, and 22.65 m in design draft. The project is classified into DNV and is the world’s first super-large offshore project designed in accordance with the latest DNV 2019 specifications.

In the future, DSIC will make this product line an example of meeting international oil and gas industry standards and practices, and deliver a satisfactory result to Equinor and MODEC.
