Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engines (DSME) has finalised the contract for constructing two LNG carriers worth US$ 400 Million. The deal is with the Singapore-based BM Company.
The company said that the construction of the vessels will be completed by the first half of 2019.
Highlights of the Vessels:
- The vessel will be 294.4 meters long
- The vessel will have a width of 46.4 meters
- It can carry 173,400 cubic meters of LNG
In this year alone, DSME has received deals for constructing 29 ships worth $4.3 Billion. DSME is the second largest shipbuilder and one among the ‘Big Three Shipbuilders’ of South Korea.
