DuPont Successfully Sells Clean Technologies Unit

  • New York listed DuPont de Nemours, Inc. (DuPont) on Friday (31 December) has successfully sold off its clean technology businesses.
  • It includes the scrubber systems provider Belco Technologies Corporation, to an international private equity consortium for an undisclosed figure.

A recent news article published in the Manifold Times state that DuPont offloads scrubber unit, clean tech businesses to private equity consortium.

Elessent Clean Technologies

The consortium, which consists of BroadPeak Global LP (BroadPeak), Asia Green Fund (AGF) and The Saudi Arabian Industrial Investments Company, has launched Elessent Clean Technologies (Elessent) on 1 January 2022 to take over operations of the new acquisitions.

Elessent aims to be a global leader in process technologies to drive sustainability and carbon neutrality in the metal, fertilizer, chemical and oil refining industries.

Retainment of exclusive rights to the technologies

It retains exclusive rights to the technologies, expertise, products, and services including: MECS® sulfuric acid and environmental technologies, BELCO® scrubbing technologies, STRATCO® alkylation technology and IsoTherming® hydroprocessing technology.
