Inmarsat is pleased to announce a new seasonal promotion for seafarers over the Easter period to enable crew to stay in touch with friends and family back home, says an article published on their website.

Most challenging periods

All 1GB and 5-hour new Fleet Hotspot allowances purchased by seafarers from the Fleet Hotspot portal onboard will be available for US$10 instead of the usual US$15 from 6 April 2023, 00:00 UTC until 12 April 2023, 23:59 UTC.

High-speed connectivity

In addition, seafarers will also be able to enjoy 33% extra talk-time on FleetBroadband and Fleet Xpress ChatCards during the same period.Fleet Hotspot is gaining popularity globally. It has already helped seafarers through one of the most challenging periods in shipping history and continues to set the standard for crew and owner requirements on high-speed connectivity.

Powered by our industry-leading Fleet Xpress service, Fleet Hotspot provides access to high-speed connectivity with the freedom for crew to use their own device. Crew can now access their accounts from home and purchase data even before boarding the vessel.

Fleet Hotspot voucher management

For vessel owners and operators the benefits of Fleet Hotspot go beyond regulatory compliance. By providing a dedicated network, the solution ensures that your crew can access the internet without interfering with mission-critical bandwidth or exposing business operations to cyber threats.

It also brings a competitive advantage in crew recruitment and retention, with crew increasingly favouring employers that offer the highest-quality connectivity services. The new Fleet Hotspot dashboard, provides ship owners and managers with greater efficiency and control over Fleet Hotspot voucher management.

Ship owners and managers

Fleet Hotspot vouchers are a simple and easy way to provide high-speed internet access to your crew and are available in either 1GB or 5-hour denominations.

At Inmarsat we are committed to the enhancement of connectivity at sea and continuously work in collaboration with charities, ship owners and managers to provide best-in-class crew welfare services.
