- Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has accomplished its 150th LNG bunkering operation, highlighting the growing presence of LNG-powered vessels in its fleet.
- The milestone LNG bunkering operation occurred at Yangshan, Shanghai, as stated in a social media announcement made by EPS on a Monday.
- The CMA CGM Bali, a 2021-built LNG-powered containership, operates under a charter deal with the French shipping giant CMA CGM.
- EPS maintains a diverse fleet of LNG-powered vessels, encompassing containerships, tankers, bulkers, and pure car and truck carriers (PCTCs).
- EPS has recently secured contracts for two additional LNG-powered PCTCs at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Nanjing. In total, EPS has ordered 12 LNG-powered PCTCs from CMJL (Nanjing) and has already taken delivery of the third vessel from the yard.
EPS Marks 150th LNG Bunkering At Yangshan
As Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping celebrates its 150th LNG bunkering operation, the expansion of the company’s fleet of LNG-powered vessels remains ongoing.
The firm said in a social media post on Monday that the milestone LNG bunkering operation took place at Yangshan, Shanghai.
EPS said that during the operation its managed 15,000 teu LNG dual-fuel vessel, CMA CGM Bali, received 9,498 cbm of LNG from the 20,000-cbm bunkering vessel, Hai Gang Wei Lai, owned by SIPG Energy Service (SSES).
LNG Containership Serving CMA CGM
The 2021-built LNG-powered containership serves French shipping giant CMA CGM under a charter deal.
EPS completes its first LNG bunkering operations in November 2020, the 50th operation in September 2022, and the 100th operation in June 2023.
“To date, we have cumulatively received 404,958MT of LNG over our fleet of DF vessels,” it said.
EPS Expands LNG-Powered Fleet
The firm has a large fleet of LNG-powered vessels, including containerships, tankers, bulkers, and pure car and truck carriers.
EPS recently booked two more LNG-powered PCTCs at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Nanjing.
EPS ordered in total 12 LNG-powered PCTS at CMJL (Nanjing), and it recently took delivery of the third vessel from the yard.
