Greek brothers Andonis and Filippos Lemos, owners of Enesel Shipping, have been identified as the sellers of last week’s notable tanker deal, as reported by Splash247.

Vessels sold

DHT Holdings announced the acquisition of a 2018-built Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) for $94.5 million but did not disclose the seller’s identity or the specific vessel involved. However, over the weekend, it was revealed that the ship in question is the Maria P Lemos, constructed by Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2018 as part of a four-vessel order worth $83 million. The seller, Enesel Shipping, profited significantly from the transaction, as similar vessels from the same shipyard, only three years younger at the time of sale, were sold together for $90 million each in July 2021, according to Clarksons Research.
