Capital Ship Management Corp and FORCE Technology have teamed up to develop Europe’s first XR Full Mission Bridge simulator, aiming to revolutionize maritime training, according to Marine Link. The simulator, which integrates advanced XR headsets and real ship equipment, will be housed at Capital Group’s training center in Chios, Greece, set to open in 2025.

Innovative Training Solutions

The simulator’s design incorporates over 50 years of FORCE Technology’s simulation expertise and features like eye-tracking technology for more effective training. The system offers an immersive virtual bridge environment with real-world equipment, such as ECDIS, Autopilot, and Radar systems, supplied by FURUNO Hellas. It also allows global teams to train together, enhancing collaboration and precision.

Sustainability Focus

Alongside its technical advancements, the simulator aims to minimize environmental impact. By reducing the need for travel and energy consumption, it supports sustainable maritime training and provides flexible remote training options. This innovation reinforces Greece’s global maritime leadership.
