Chipolbrok, the Chinese-Polish joint stock shipping company, has expanded its fleet with the inclusion of a 62,000 dwt multipurpose vessel named Yu An. The naming ceremony took place at Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding, marking the fifth vessel in Chipolbrok’s series of newbuild 62,000 dwt multipurpose ships, reports PJC.
Dimensions and Features
The vessel spans 199.9 meters in length and boasts five holds, providing a total capacity of 75,000 cubic meters. Equipped with four heavy lift cranes capable of lifting to 300 tons collectively, it offers a sizable deck area of 5000 square meters. Its versatile design accommodates bulk cargo, containers, and project cargo, making it a standout choice.

Chipolbrok asserts that these vessels stand as the largest multipurpose ships globally, designed to meet diverse cargo demands. The vessel’s design originates from the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute.
Enhanced Fleet Capabilities
With these five modern vessels, Chipolbrok significantly enhances its fleet’s modern tonnage, enabling the transportation of substantial volumes of project cargo. This includes oversized, heavy units, as well as larger lots of bulk and semi-bulk commodities.
Deployment and Maiden Voyage
The vessel successfully completed sea trials earlier this month, indicating readiness for deployment.
Route and Initial Voyage
