8 ports managed by the Osaka Ports and Harbors Bureau have become new Incentive Providers. These ports offer discounted fees to Green Award-certified vessels, expanding the network to 47 ports globally, reports Green Award.

They serve as export bases and energy supply points for the Kansai region and greater western Japan area.

Support from Established Ports

Port of Osaka and Port of Kobe, existing members in the Osaka region, offer discounted fees and have been participating since 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Port of Osaka has increased the discount rate to 15%.
