A cruise ship has come under the radar again after a woman staff was sexually assaulted on board by her ex-lover. The incident is reported to have occurred after party.
The ex-lover who is also a crew member of the ship was arrested by the police hours later and has been denied bail by the judge.
Sources said she was attacked on a ship called Rhapsody being used as a hotel for the crew.
A police spokesman confirmed: “He is being investigated on suspicion of aggravated sexual assault.”
He faces up to three years in prison if found guilty at trial. The Disney’s Wonder cruise vessel is still docked in Cadiz.
Disney Cruise Line operates the cruise ship and carries around 2,400 passengers with a crew of around 950 people.
A Disney Cruise Line spokesman said: “He’s no longer with the company.”
