Finalists shortlisted for the Maritime Standard Awards 2016

An elite panel of judges has been evaluating over the past few weeks to shortlist the finalists for the Maritime standard awards 2016.  It was reported that the judges had to evaluate a whopping number of nominations for a total of 19 diverse categories.  The entry criteria and standards for nomination are extremely high and all the shortlisted persons/organizations have to be commended for their outstanding submissions.

The Maritime Standards Award 2016 is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group.  The event is scheduled to take place on 24th October 2016 at Atlantis, The Palm, in the iconic Atlantis Ballroom.  The event is expected to receive around 700 guests with high-level executives expecting to grace this occasion.

The categories under which the participants have been judged are as follows: Classification Society, Marine Broker, Marine Insurer, Maritime Law Firm, Port, Ship Agency, Ship Manager, Shipowner/operator, Shipping Company, Shipyard, Tanker Operator and Terminal Operator of the year.  The participants were also nominated for Corporate Social Responsibility, Green Shipping, Maritime Training and Education, Safety, Sustainable Development, Technology and Innovation and Maritime Security.
