Fincantieri, a leading global shipbuilding group, has partnered with BQ Solutions, a Qatari company focused on supporting Qatar’s military and security forces, to expand naval education and training for the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces. The agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed during the 14th MILIPOL Qatar, a prominent homeland security and safety event, as reported by Fincantieri. This MoU lays the foundation for a collaborative, Italian-led training initiative designed to provide high-quality skills to Qatar’s naval personnel.

Enhancing Qatar’s Naval Capabilities

The partnership aims to further strengthen Qatar’s naval training infrastructure, emphasizing a comprehensive curriculum that equips personnel with crucial operational, technical, and logistical skills. This MoU builds on an earlier 2016 contract between Fincantieri and Qatar’s Armed Forces, which involved constructing seven surface vessels along with extensive crew training, in-service support, and integrated logistics support.
