The new ships will meet updated environmental and navigation regulations and feature the latest safety systems.
Both companies continue to explore eco-friendly fuels and sustainable, zero-emission power sources.
Specifications of the New Cruise Ships
These vessels fall into the small cruise ship segment with a gross tonnage of 54,300 tons. They can accommodate 998 passengers across 499 cabins.
The agreement underscores a lasting relationship since 2012. It includes 22 ships, including purpose-built expedition vessels by Vard, Viking’s Norwegian subsidiary.
