A fire broke out aboard an anchor handling vessel while operating in the Campos Basin on the night of 8th January. The fire originated in the engine room, but the cause is still under investigation. All crew members were rescued, and firefighting efforts continued for 12 hours.
Fire Extinguished and Vessel Towed
The Brazilian Navy reported that the fire was successfully extinguished after 12 hours of effort. The vessel is being towed to the Port of Açu for further investigations.

The vessel, built in 2017, has a length of 93.6 meters, a beam of 21.9 meters, and a gross tonnage of 7,539.
