On October 4, a fire reportedly broke out in the engine room of a vessel with firefighters rushing to bring it under control.
What happened?
The fire reportedly broke out in the engine room of the vessel ‘Maursund’ which was located at Fuglenes quay in the fishing port of Hammerfest.
Fire brought under control:
The firefighters from Hammerfest rushed to the vessel with three fire engines and six crews, accompanied by police and ambulance.
The fire was somewhat tackled by the crew members onboard the vessel. The crew members were sent to a health checkup to determine if they suffered any injuries during the fire. The fire department sought for remaining hot spots with a thermal camera.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
