Fire Engines Put Out Blaze on Board Ship

On Sunday, five fire engines were reportedly called to a douse a blaze on board a ship stationed at Immingham Docks.

What happened?

All the crew members from nearby fire stations in Grimsby, Immingham and Barton responded to the incident after they were called at 3.29pm on Sunday.

Fire put out:

A spokesperson for Humberside Fire and Rescue said the ship was docked alongside Immingham Docks and the fire was eventually put out just before 4.45pm.

Investigation launched:

An investigation has been launched by the port officials to determine the cause of the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured or pollution to the environment was reported.
