On 4 February a fire broke out aboard a vessel at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, USA, during the cleaning of the dust container, reports Marine Traffic.

Following the fire aboard the docked vessel firefighters from multiple Door County departments responded promptly. Although minimal smoke was visible from the outside, firefighters had to navigate through the vessel to locate and extinguish the fire.
After about an hour, the fire was successfully contained. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all personnel were safely evacuated.
Authorities have not disclosed the extent of any potential damage and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
