A small Indonesian freighter Intan Nusantara was docked in Palabuhan Sukabangun, Ketapang, western Kalimantan, Indonesia.  On 7th October, around 1700 hrs suddenly fire erupted from a cargo hold of the vessel, loaded with consumer goods and groceries.  Local firefighters immediately responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the blaze.  No Injuries or pollution was reported.

The reports states an extensive damage to the cargo was mostly from the water poured in ship’s holds to extinguish fire.  Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.
