Fire Onboard A Cargo Ship Delays Delivery of Cargo

A fire was detected in a hold number 2 on an LNG-ready 18.000 TEU cargo vessel. Immediately, the giant ship was diverted to Port of Rotterdam for inspection.  The fire was put out by the vessel’s crew and there was no reports of injuries.  It is reported that the cargo delivery may be delayed due to the fire.

The cargo ship was on Ocean Three’s Asia-Europe service following the route of Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Port Kelang, Rotterdam, Hamburg reaching the destination Felixstowe.
