On May 12, the Wilmington firefighters rescued an injured man from the Port of Wilmington, reports Delaware Business Now.
What happened?
Earlier on Saturday afternoon, the Wilmington firefighters rescued a man who had been injured while working on a ship at the Port of Wilmington. A Special Operations Team located the worker who was found 35 feet below deck.
Crew Taken to Hospital
The team located the worker and used a Stokes basket to hoist the patient out of the hull of the ship and lowered the basket to the dock.
Additional crews and EMS personnel transferred to Wilmington Hospital for treatment.
