Port operations and bunkering have resumed in three Floridian ports as Hurricane Idalia is moving on from Florida to southeastern Georgia and South Caroline, reports Engine.
Bunkering operation suspended
Bunkering and other port operations had previously been suspended in the three ports: Port Canaveral, Port Palm Beach and the port of Panama City.
However, several other ports, including the Port of Tampa, SeaPort Manatee, Port Jacksonville and Port St. Pete are still under “port condition Zulu” set by the US Coast Guard. All operations remain suspended in these ports.
Hurricane Idalia made landfall in Florida this morning, resulting in power outages and flooding.
All operations in the Port of Morehead City and Port Wilmington of North Carolina have been suspended and are expected to remain closed throughout the day, The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.
The NHC expects the hurricane to weaken into a tropical storm as it moves across North Carolina.
