On December 26, four men were charged with affray after they were discovered hiding onboard a cargo ship in the Thames Estuary.
What happened?
The cargo ship ‘Grande Tema’ was enroute from Lagos, Nigeria and docked at Tilbury, Essex when the incident occurred. The four men were identified as Samuel Jolumi, 26, Ishola Sunday, 27, Toheeb Popoola, 26, and Joberto McGee, 20, and discovered hiding onboard a cargo ship.
Stowaways detained
The Essex Police detained the men and charged them with affray. The men are scheduled to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court.
Grimaldi Group, which owns the vessel, said four men were discovered onboard the cargo vessel four days before it docked.
