Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has become a member of the International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN), a global maritime charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of seafarers and their families through resources, advocacy, and various wellbeing services.
Commitment to Crew Welfare
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, with a fleet of three smaller ocean cruise ships—Bolette, Borealis, and Balmoral—employs a total of 2,568 crew members. As part of their commitment to crew welfare, they now provide their crew access to Seafarer Assistance, a free, confidential, multilingual helpline service available 24/7. This service, operated by ISWAN, offers vital support to seafarers and their families worldwide. Additionally, ISWAN provides free health resources via the ISWAN for Seafarers app and offers humanitarian support in regions like the Philippines and India.
