The freighter Lill allided with outer jetty at the approach to Ronne, Denmark. The vessel was en route from Solvesborg, but at the approach to Ronne was pushed by the strong crosswinds and heavy seas. The skipper was unable to maintain the course and the vessel left the fairway, colliding with the pier. The freighter Lill suffered large breaches above the waterline, but remained afloat and stable. The accident was reported to the local authorities and at the scene was dispatched harbor tug, which towed the freighter to the pier and berthed for repairs. There was no immediate danger for sinking and stability of the coastal freighter.
The local authorities detained the vessel during repairs and further investigation. The ship will be inspected before return in service. Fortunately during the accident there were no injured people and no reported water pollution.
