Refloated Freighter Capsized and Sank

A refloated general cargo ship capsized and sank due to water ingress, reports Maritime Bulletin. 

What happened?

General cargo ship JIN HUI ran aground on a rocky coast of Nangan island, Matsu islands, Lienchiang County, Taiwan, East China sea, at around 0600 LT (UTC +8) Dec 10. 

Ship’s condition remains unknown though the crew remained on board not requesting evacuation. She’s probably in ballast.

She was refloated

The ship was refloated and towed to Fuao Port, Nangan island. She was moored alongside docked hopper, but all the time during towage and being already port, list was developing.  Due to continuing water ingress, the ship capsized and sank at round 2200 LT Dec. 

Ship is resting on the bottom partially above water, container or containers from the deck floating in harbor. Crew members are reported to be safe.
