Although noises have been made about airline greenhouse gas emissions, the shipping industry’s carbon footprint is just as big. It accounts for up to 3 % of all CO2 emissions in the world. Ironically, sustainable shipping fuels have received far less attention than their aerospace counterparts. But AAIM-listedQuadrise PLC is rewriting this story with its new approach to the technology of sustainable shipping fuel.

Quadrise’s BioMSAR-Zero Vision

On this week’s episode, CEO of Quadrise Jason Miles highlights the company’s BioMSAR. This biofuel will help reduce global shipping emissions by 5 million tons a year. When compared to aviation, however, shipping engines are flexible. So while the first product of Quadrise is BioMSAR and it can be blended with oil and water in any proportion up 5to 0 % by volume (more if you go through a press), using the current ready-to-go products will result in gas-reducingCO2 output reductions on average by about The ultimate goal? A breakthrough for the shipping industry’s emissions problem, BioMSAR-Zero provides a net-zero carbon fuel fossil developed from waste products and sugars derived from biomass in place of fossil fuels.
