  • Holcim Adopts Fueltrax System to Enhance Fleet Efficiency and Cut Emissions.
  • NASA-Engineered Fueltrax EFMS Offers Real-Time Monitoring and Throttle Optimization.

Fueltrax’s advanced fuel management systems (EFMS) have been extended to inland and near-coastal waterways with cost savings, improved fuel efficiency, and a reduction in emissions for vessels using this technology, reports Business Wire.

State-of-the-Art Technology

Developed by former NASA engineers, the Fueltrax EFMS is tamper-proof, with alarms, incorporating mass flow meters in the measurement of precise fuel consumption to achieve the reduction of carbon and fuels.

Holcim Sees Results

Holcim has implemented Fueltrax EFMS on its Great Lakes and East Coast fleet, enhancing visibility, automating emissions reporting, and reducing its environmental footprint. “We have been using the Fueltrax EFMS to effectively track and monitor vessels in real time,” said Chuck Hriczak, Holcim Operations Manager. “The system’s throttle optimization features have yielded significant cost savings annually and have simultaneously reduced carbon emissions across the fleet.”

Meeting Industry Challenges

“Inland and near-coastal waterway vessels face significant incentives to lower fuel consumption and emissions,” stated John Donovan, Fueltrax’s Vice President of Operations. “The Fueltrax EFMS system is available to address this need today.”
