G3 Canada has announced the construction of a modern grain terminal at the Port of Trois-Rivières, aiming to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The investment reinforces the company’s commitment to Quebec producers while strengthening global market access.

Enhanced Capacity and Streamlined Operations

Designed for maximum efficiency, the new 65,000-metric-tonne facility will feature optimized truck circulation and three high-speed receiving lanes. These improvements will significantly reduce wait times and increase grain-handling capacity, ensuring a seamless logistics experience for producers and exporters.

Sustainable Infrastructure and Environmental Considerations

As part of the Port’s Terminal 16 and 17 redevelopment, G3 will install three modern ship loaders with advanced dust control technology to minimize environmental impact. Additionally, infrastructure upgrades will enhance traffic flow, contributing to a more efficient and sustainable supply chain.

Project Timeline and Transitional Plans

Demolition of the existing silos is scheduled for March 2025. During the construction phase, G3 will implement contingency plans using its facilities in St-Denis and Quebec to maintain smooth operations. The project is set for completion ahead of the 2027 growing season, ensuring continued support for Quebec’s grain industry.
