GasLog Celebrates The Delivery Of Marvel Phoenix

This week was a significant one for GasLog as the company celebrated both the naming and delivery of its latest LNG carrier, Marvel Phoenix. The vessel, built to meet modern industry standards, is expected to support GasLog’s mission to enhance LNG transport efficiency.

A Special Ceremony at Hanwha Ocean Shipyard

Held on September 30th at the Hanwha Ocean Shipyard in sunny Geoje, South Korea, the ceremony was a memorable affair. Ms. Zhou Ling, Head of the Shipping Department at CMBFL, sponsored the event and christened Marvel Phoenix by breaking a champagne bottle over its bow, a maritime tradition symbolizing good fortune for the vessel and its crew.

Ceremony Highlights and Vessel Specifications

On September 30th, at the Hanwha Ocean Shipyard in Geoje, the vessel’s sponsor, Ms. Zhou Ling, Head of Shipping at CMBFL, officially named Marvel Phoenix with a traditional champagne bottle break. The vessel was then delivered on October 2nd, joining GasLog’s growing fleet.
