Collision at early morning
Report emerged, that Dutch general cargo ship AMADEUS AQUAMARIJN collided with Belgian trawler Z-60 BLUE ANGEL early in the morning Dec 23 west of Vlieland, Frisian islands, North sea.
According to ships’ tracks, collision occurred at around 0230 UTC Dec 23, with both ships sailing in same SW direction, some 14 nm west of southern tip of Vlieland.
Damages incurred
Understood AMADEUS AQUAMARIJN was damaged in the collision, she had to interrupted her voyage from Hamburg to Antwerp, and as of 0810 UTC Dec 23.
She was sailing along eastern coast of Texel island, in Den Helder (maybe Harlingen) direction, Netherlands, escorted by law enforcement and service boats.
Trawler resumed sailing shortly after collision, probably she’s to return to home base port.
