Giant ‘Xinfu 107’ Arrives: Record-breaking Container Ship!

On June 26, under the escort of several Marine patrol boats from the maritime department, the “Xinfu 107” smoothly docked at the Yangzi Mitsui Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. wharf in the Taicang Port Economic and Technological Development Zone, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. On the same day, after leaving the moor, the “Xinfu 107,” constructed by Jiangsu Taixing Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., began its towing operation on the Yangtze River and was pulled to the pier of Yangzi Mitsui Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for outfitting. This massive vessel, the fifth of the world’s six largest container ships built by the company, boasts impressive dimensions of 399.9 meters in length, 61.3 meters in width, and 33.5 meters in depth. It has the capacity to transport a staggering 24,346 standard containers in a single voyage.
