Global Shipping Company Signs A Time Charter Contract

Diana Shipping Inc. announced that it has entered into a time charter contract with Hyundai Glovis Co. Ltd. as reported by Diana Shipping.

Time charter contract 

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX), a global shipping company specialising in the ownership and bareboat chartering of dry bulk vessels, announced today that it has entered into a time charter contract with Hyundai Glovis Co. Ltd. for one of its Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Maia, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary.

Gross revenue

The gross charter rate is US$25,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period beginning September 20, 2023, and ending November 20, 2023. On May 23, 2022, the charter is expected to begin.

The “Maia” is a dry bulk tanker built by Kamsarmax in 2009.

For the minimum scheduled length of the time charter, the employment of “Maia” is expected to generate roughly US$13.43 million in gross revenue.
