Golden Energy Offshore Services (GEOS), a Norwegian vessel owner and operator, has secured a new contract for its large platform supply vessel (PSV), the Energy Swan. The contract spans 100 days with an additional 60-day option and is scheduled to commence in September 2024. The PSV will depart from the North Sea for an undisclosed new location.
Utilization and Market Insights
The Energy Swan has achieved 100% utilization year-to-date (YTD), and this new contract will extend its full coverage for the remainder of the year. Although the client is not named, GEOS has indicated that the client is a “first-class international operator,” reflecting the significant value of the deal in the current market for such vessels.
Vessel Specifications and Past Contracts
Built in 2005, the Energy Swan is a large PSV/pipe carrier of the ST 216 design, with a capacity to accommodate 28 people. The vessel had a short-term contract earlier in April and was previously engaged with Repsol Norge last year.
