Framework for GHG Reduction
Green Marine and Smart Freight Centre (SFC) have solidified their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aiming to propel environmental sustainability initiatives within the global logistics and maritime sectors.
The MoU establishes a strategic framework to guide the logistics and maritime industries in tracking and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, with a targeted goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050 or earlier.
Smart Freight Centre’s Ambitious Goals
Smart Freight Centre’s goal is to guide the global logistics industry in tracking and reducing the industry’s GHG emissions by one billion tonnes by 2030 and to reach zero emissions by 2050 or earlier. Green Marine’s presence in North America and Europe encompasses a diverse array of maritime enterprises, including ports, Seaway corporations, ship owners, terminals, and shipyards.
