Norway’s bulk and shipping company Grieg Star has started what it calls the first ship’s recycling under new EU rules on ship recycling, reports the Medi Telegraph.
A Transparent and High-Quality Process
CEO Camilla Grieg says that, Star Gran is 33 years, and it is time for her to have her last voyage. She has served well, and it is wistfully that she be sent to the recycling yard. The European regulation is an “important next step in the shipping business’ work to secure higher levels of sustainability.”
