On Saturday, the Suez Canal Authorities successfully refloated the container ship, MSC FABIOLA, that ran aground last week, as reported by Mfame team. Normalcy is said to have been restored at Suez Canal traffic over the weekend, since the stranded ship assisted by five tugs went about on its southbound transit.
The grounding of the ship, at 144 km on Thursday, is reported to have occurred due to a technical malfunction onboard the ship which might have caused a sudden power disruption resulting in engine problems.
