A ship moored at Barriera Wharf was assisted by tugs and pilots after grounding.
The Vessel Traffic Service Of Malta received a report yesterday at 12.24pm about the vessel grounding. The authorities immediately responded and sent pilots and tugs for rescue. The ship was then shifted safely to another berth.
The reason for the grounding is not known. There are no reports of damage or pollution. The report from port control states that the situation was under control.
