Grounding Off Hagenør

On November 3, 2017, the “Frakt Vik”, coming from Aviles, ran aground on a sand bar off Hagenør in Skærbæk. The ship got stuck 75-100 meters off the shore in the Lillebælt.

The Danish naval operative command was notified and sent the patrol vessel “Nymfen” which was nearby to the site. No oil spill was observed. It was allowed to start own attempts to get off at 11.20 a.m.

It managed to refloat at 11.40 a.m and was being investigated for damage by divers and for this purpose detained by the Danish Maritime Authority until it was known whether the hull has been damaged. At 1 p.m. the ship headed to Apenrade where it berthed at the New Quay at 3.45 p.m.
