GTS Tankers Harness MAN’s Cutting-Edge Engines

Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding and Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry in China are set to construct four 41,000 dwt oil-and-chemical tankers for German Tanker Shipping (GTS). The vessels, designed by Swedish Fartygskonstruktioner AB, will feature MAN Energy Solutions’ advanced 10L32/44CR main engines, showcasing a commitment to environmental sustainability and efficiency.

Cutting-Edge Propulsion: MAN Engines to Drive GTS Tankers with Low-NOx Technology

The order includes MAN’s 10L32/44CR engines integrated with a Low-Pressure Selective Catalytic Reduction (LP-SCR) system, ensuring compliance with the latest IMO environmental standards. With a power output of 600 kW per cylinder, these engines will drive MAN Alpha VBS1260 CP propellers, offering high efficiency and low emissions.
